Order Cancellation / Modification
An order placed can be canceled by phone or email. Please contact us Monday to Friday, between 10:00 – 16:00, using the email address support@backgammonshop.eu. Our colleagues will assist you as soon as possible.
If the order cancellation is made before the products are handed over to the courier, the paid amount will be released and refunded within a period depending on the issuing bank's policy. If the products have already been collected by the courier, then the return procedure must be initiated under the conditions set out in the Return Policy page.
Additionally, the order may be canceled by Backgammonshop.eu by prior notice to the buyer, without any further obligation from either party towards the other and without any party being entitled to claim damages, in the following cases:
- the issuing bank does not accept the buyer's card transaction in the case of online payment;
- the transaction is invalidated by the electronic payment processor Netopia Payments, in the case of online payment;
- the data provided by the buyer are incomplete and/or incorrect.
For justified reasons, Backgammonshop.eu reserves the right to reduce the quantity of products in the order, with prior notification of the buyer at the email address or phone number provided when placing the order, and will refund the buyer the amount paid for the removed products.
In the event of supply difficulties or if the ordered products are no longer in stock, we reserve the right to offer you similar products (where available) of equal quality and value. If you do not wish to order these substitute products, the amounts you paid for the unfulfilled order will be fully refunded, and we will have no further liability towards you or any third party.
Return Policy
This chapter applies exclusively to purchases made through the online store by individual buyers or groups of individuals organized in associations.
You have the legal right to return products purchased from Backgammonshop.eu without stating any reason, within 14 days from the date you or a third party indicated by you, other than the courier, acquire physical possession of the ordered products. In the case of multiple products ordered under a single order but delivered separately, the 14 days run from the date you or a third party indicated by you acquire physical possession of the last product. This date can be verified through the delivery documents provided by the courier. If the return request is not made within the legal 14-day period, it can no longer be exercised afterward.
How to return products purchased from www.Backgammonshop.eu?
To start the return procedure for products purchased from Backgammonshop.eu, you must notify us of your decision to return the products by email at support@backgammonshop.eu or by using an unequivocal statement, e.g., a letter sent by post, fax, or email.
To meet the return deadline, it is sufficient to send your request to initiate the return procedure before the 14-day period expires.
After returning the products and verifying their condition, we will refund you any amount received from you, including delivery costs (if these were initially borne by the buyer, except for any additional costs resulting from requesting a delivery method other than the standard one offered by us), without undue delay and in any case no later than 5 days from the date the products are back in our possession and we confirm they meet all return conditions.
Refunds will be made using the same payment method you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed to another method of reimbursement (example: for cash on delivery orders, refunds will be made to the bank account communicated by the buyer). In any case, you will not incur any fees as a result of such a refund. All costs and legal risks related to returning the products are borne exclusively by the buyer.
The return of products must be made without undue delay and in any case within a maximum of 14 days from the date you communicated your withdrawal, to the address that will be provided by our representatives. The 14-day period is considered respected if the products are sent back before the expiry of this period.
Total return – If the client returns the entire order, Backgammonshop.eu will refund the value of the products ordered and the transport cost for shipping the parcel.
Partial returns are not accepted.
The return request must be made for all products in the order.
The costs of returning the products are your sole responsibility. If you attempt to return products with payment on delivery (cash-on-delivery return), we reserve the right to refuse acceptance of the parcel. Returns must be made through any courier company of your choice, respecting the details provided in the email received after processing the return request.
- The full refund of the paid amount will only be made if the returned products are in the same condition as received, subject to a reasonable decrease in value resulting from actions necessary to establish the nature, characteristics, and functioning of the products, depending on their specifics.
- No refund will be accepted for products where the buyer has carried out actions that reduce the value of the returned product and are not justified by the actions necessary to establish the nature, characteristics, and functioning of the products, including but not limited to:
- Breaking seals/labels;
- Physical deformation of products/packaging;
- Tearing/damaging original packaging;
- Soiling, staining, or impregnation with external substances;
The buyer is solely responsible for any damage or loss of the product sent back to Backgammonshop.eu as a return. If the product cannot be returned in optimal condition (as specified above), Backgammonshop.eu will not refund its value. You are responsible for any depreciation resulting from handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics, and functioning of the products, depending on their specifics.
Returns are not accepted for:
- sealed goods which cannot be returned for health or hygiene reasons and which were unsealed by the buyer;
- products likely to deteriorate or expire quickly;
- goods which, after delivery, by their nature, are inseparably mixed with other items.
WARRANTY
The products sold through the online store are new, in original packaging, and have the characteristics indicated in their description. The buyer is fully responsible for respecting the instructions for use of the ordered products.
You are obliged to store, keep, handle, and use the product in accordance with the recommendations provided by Backgammonshop.eu through the instructions on the packaging and/or leaflet accompanying the ordered products.
